Poker Aces – learning to gamble them

Poker Aces refers to two aces being dealt before theflop. It’s the best attainable pre-flop hand inTexas Holdem Poker. But despite this a large number of bettors end up on the wrong end when given these cards.

When you’re given a set of Aces, you just don’t fold pre-flop. You’re positioned with the greatest possible hand at this part of the game. So how do you bet with Poker Aces ? Do you actually go all-in? I’d say definitely no to that.

Keep in mind, you are trying to earn as much profit from this strong position. You need to maximize the opportunity. Going all-in will actually drive most competitors into dropping out and not making a bet.

If you’re in the initial seat (1st or 2nd to cast a bet), you will place a single bet. Anyone with a decent hand will call, with luck someone might raise. If there has been a raise do not spring to re-raise or call, wait for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

After the flop your strategy will be to eliminate anyone that could be able to get a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise aggressively, if you’re fortunate you’ll fool 1 player into thinking that you’re bluffing.

If you are in the center or later seat (near the last to place a bet) you will observe as everyone calls and then raise. Even with you sitting with a pair of aces, if possible try to avoid a show-down. Defend your hand by forcing the other players fold after the flop. If you do not get rid of your opponents you risk losing your hand.
