Literally millions and millions of people want to be the next "star" in poker, but here is a short rundown on four of the more noteworthy "nice pros" of the game. Granted "nice" is connected with their names when you are facing them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have put you out of the game!
Daniel Negreanu
In 2004, his tourney payouts added up to in the region of four and a half million dollars and he won two immensely admired awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tourney Player of the Year. In Feb 2006 he was chosen Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. He still has the humility to talk with his fans about how they will be able to advance their own game.
Howard Lederer
Called "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His accomplishments have allowed him to make an educational poker video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and also holding a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of Two Thousand and Five, his total life time earnings exceed $2.7 million.
Scotty Nguyen
Scott is 1 of the most active players in poker and from Two Thousand to 2004 he finished in the money in more than 100 tournaments. He is notorious for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when alluding to a particularly bad loss. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time earnings are almost $6 million.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has captured five WSOP titles with two of his wins happening in Two Thousand and Three. Chris has the nickname "Jesus" because of his trademark long hair and beard, along with his ability to toss cards quick enough to slice through bananas and pickles. As of Two Thousand and Five his total live poker tourney earnings exceeded five million dollars.
